Prolouge

I might have been a young heiress, sought after by many suitors, had an immeasurable wealth, but all those days are now behind me. My life now is certainly not luxury. Instead of glittering parties and fine garments, there are filthy rags and the stench of the dead and dying. Instead of gourmet food displayed for all there's barely any food for all. The world I live in now is far worse than the one I left. The world I live in now is not that of the aristocrats and their pompous ways, but that of the proletariat. Why would I Aurore Chevalier, born into the ranks of the aristocracy be living the life of a lowly peasant? The answer's not as simple as one thinks, however the truth is, I myself am still unsure of the reason. There are bits and pieces of memories that I've put together, over time they've returned to me, yet so many parts have been left out. With my memory shattered it's all I can do to survive on my own.
