Prologue

In the providence Geniko beauty has taken on a new shape. Once manifesting itself in love and art, beauty is now something forged in the fires of warfare, tempered on the battlefield and quenched in blood. Humanity faces war with the Bas'adi, a hostile race with the ability to turn those they share eye contact with into stone. Thus only the Kurashi, the blind swordsmen, elite warriors bred to see and fight without eyes can defend against such a foe. And yet in the mists of all the chaos and bloodshed, the true face of beauty will find a way to blossom.
