Ray had almost died. Almost. That's all he knew. He had failed to be happy. After the doctors had managed to save him, his family denied him of being part of them so he was taken to a mental institution. With the new found urge to die no matter what it takes, the now 18 year old boy is let out of the hospital. He is forced to have someone with him at all times though. They send with him Gates, a 16 year old who had had thoughts of suicide, but he decided not to. Gates' one job is to make sure Ray doesn't try again. Ray's job is to try his best to get away from Gates. Can Gates keep the relentless Ray from deaths door? Will Ray get his one wish to come true? Or will they both somehow get what they want?
