Her Last Wish

I lay there limp and drained of life. It was like I was about to sleep but not quite. It all seemed like a dream. It was probably best if I didn't fall asleep because then I'd die.

"Take my hand. You're not leaving me."

A man's voice said. I batted my eye lids to try to make out a face. But they were just so heavy. And I was so tired. I want to close my eyes. Just for a moment.

"COME ON! Don't let go!"

I force myself to open my eyes the slightest more. I finally recognize the face.

"Let me go. And be," I try to say but it's hard. From emotions and I can't physically do a thing. ", happy."

And so I let go. And the rest is for another time.
