"Mom, can I come out and play?" i told her. "Sure Samantha. But be here before it gets dark," she said with a smile on her face. I kissed her cheek and happily went out.

I made my way to my secret place. It was surrounded with bushes and trees, and in the middle is a magnificent pond. "Here you go, Mr. duck," i threw some bread in the pond and the duck ate it. I circled around.the pond and sat on my big rock. I was humming my favorite tune when I heard the bushes creak. "Who's there?" No one answered me. I called out again. "Who's there?" Still no answer. I went closer to the bushes. "Hello?"

"Hey," a boy said. He was eating a corn and he waved at me. "Want some?" he offered. I nodded and i took a bite. "That is so good," i told him.

"What's your name?"

"Julia Samantha Jones,"

"Oh. Nice to meet you Samantha. Can we play?"

"Sure!"

We spent the whole afternoon chasing one another, playing hide and seek, and we threw some rocks in the pond. I heard shouting but it was not understandable. "That's probably my mom. I better go home," he said. He looked around and picked up a stone. It was the most beautiful stone i have ever seen. "Here. Keep it. It's a sign of our friendship," he said. I took it from him and smiled. "Can you tell me your name now?" i said.

"You can call me Corn," he giggled and ran away. I took a look at the stone. It was smooth and was shaped like a heart. I smiled at it and decided to finally get home.
