My plea ended in a whisper as I was quickly running out of air. James let out a menacing chuckle as he relaxed his grip. "My dear Ella," he murmured, "I do not want to remind you again. If I EVER see you flirting like that again, I will end whomever was on the receiving end of your pathetic advances. You are MINE!" With that, he spun on his heel and left me gasping for breath as I sunk to the floor in pain and terror. Panic set in and my adrenaline hit its peak as my eyes frantically searched for an exit. My mind barely registered the open window as my heart made the decision for me. RUN! At seventeen, she is heading off to college; her first adventure alone. She is intelligent when it comes to her studies and applies herself to being a well-rounded person. However, socially, she has always been a self-prescribed outcast. She has not ever been bullied, but she is so nervous around people, that her friends have been few and far-in-between. Preferring the shadows to the spotlight, she works very hard to keep herself hidden. James is the pure definition of alpha-male. Growing up in a world of privilege, he has always felt entitled to all within his imagination. He practices control in all things- from his studies and career, to his relationships. One major weakness, is his desire to dominate and trample on the weak, thus making him feel more powerful. He trusts no one and holds people at a cold distance while surrounding himself with shallow friends and relationships, so that his control remains intact.
