No one knows how to give Ayralin her legs again except Gerdi, the only mermaid King Njord had ever been afraid of and the one who had given Ayralin her legs in the first place. But Ayralin is framing Gerdi for the death of King Njord to cover her own tracks, and the witch mermaid has fled the kingdom.
