Prologue

Metanoia:
(n.) The journey of changing one's mind, heart, self, or way of life.

I helped battle his demons,
He taught me to love myself.
I was a hurricane, dangerous, yet beautiful.
He was a tornado, damaging, yet captivating.
We didn't know whether we were each other's destruction or salvation.
To be completely cliché,
We were playing with fire, but in all honesty, we wanted to be burned.
This connection was our light in this everlasting darkness.
