Marcella Stone is eager to get out of her tiny town, Avery Woods in Washington D.C. and when summer vacation rolls around, this gives Marcella the perfect chance. She goes to visit her mum in Enterprise, Nevada, and simply expects mother-and-daughter catching up time and visiting tourist attractions.
