Darkness. It can be considered a blessing, but mainly a curse.
A blessing because it sets you apart from other people.
A curse because people fear it.

In a world where normal is getting your future practically chosen for you at the age of 16, Camille Everton has already gotten told that her future will evolve into a dark void of nothingness. Desperate to find out what that means she cannot wait to get her element, which has to do with her future, at age 17. But when she finds out, the town will wish she never had.
