Chapter 1 - Forbidden

Our city is different. We are born with a mark that determines who we are to be with for the rest of our lives. Only two of each mark exists. When you turn 18 and find your match, you're stuck forever. The law states that if you share ANY strong romantic gestures with anyone who is not your match, the penalty is death.
