Chapter One~ No Choice

Heather Rowland is a Noble Lady in the English Court. When the King finds out about the secret relationship between her and his second Eldest son Edward, she is sent off to be the ladies maid for Mary Queen of Scotland.

James "Jamie" Rose Mackenzie is a Highlander. Tortured by Edward, he wants to payback the kindness that he had given him years before. When he sees four English Soldiers and a Woman, he knows the men. He strikes them down. What does he do with the girl though?

When everything goes to hell for Heather, will she be able to stand with Jamie at her side, or will Jamie kick her while she is down?
