In order to obtain a mysterious medicine, Bulma Briefs and one of her employees use a time machine to travel to planet Plant, later known as planet Vegeta, and ask its inhabitants, the Plants, for help.
But the Plants aren't the only species they will meet there, which will cause unexpected complications.
