Description

Woodland Ogham Ode Oh mighty oak for ships and houses made The hardness of hornbeam for cogs and screws, whose jellies are fine and never staid. Sticks of rowan to aid our walking Gives us protection when spirits are stalking Her berries make wine which is rather able, preserves too, to grace our table. Alder logs are good for clogs, whose dancers really care While its charcoal for gunpowder makes fireworks flare. The flower of willow has a certain stance Gives bees pollen to aid their waggle dance. Hazel forms hurdles to pen your sheep Far or near or close to a weir, there's no finer way for fish to keep. Ash travels far when its used in a car Handles for hoes and assorted tools, assist the gardener to win a star. Birch burns brighter, Its sheets of bark work well as a fire lighter, From canoes to furniture fun its veneer is the one. And don't forget to tap their sap, for you will fine makes wonderful wine. So raise a glass and toast your host, For our friend the Greenman is not one
