Prologue (part 1)

Ellis James is sixteen years old. She has a picture-perfect life, until her father is caught having an affair. Ellis' mother leaves and takes her baby sister, her father leaves town with his mistress, and her boyfriend dumps her because he doesn't want to deal with the drama. Ellis and her older brother pack up what's left of their lives and decide to go where the road takes them.
