Prologue

"What do you feel when you're with me?" I asked, burying my hands deep into my jean pockets. My stomach tied itself into knots as I waited for his response, my heartbeat quickening with every passing second.

"Forelsket," Edd answered after a long pause. He flashed me a nervous smile as he brushed a strand of his thick black hair away from his face, his cheeks flushed. "Explain further, Beanie-boy," I requested, my voice echoing off the concrete walls of the boys' locker room.

Double D's baby blue eyes met with mine, the corners of his mouth tugging upward into a small smile,"Forelsket is a danish word for the overwhelming euphoric feeling you experience when you're falling in love."
