Waiting for Nothing

Have you ever picked up a phone, dial a number you know so well and at that moment the ringing starts you’re torn between two different things: the hoping that he’ll pick up and the dreading that he will.

You see it’s a never ending cycle: I run, I hide, I crave, I run back right to you.

And I die a little inside each time.
