Prologue

"Screw cancer."

She never knew that she'd be in a car accident that day. She never knew that at the hospital, the doctors would soon discover that she has cancer and a few months, if that, of life left.

But Elaine doesn't want to waste her now shortened life fulfilling her dreams and wishes. She just wants to spend it in the field of sunflowers with the guy she'd soon be very fond of and whose mother is the actual reason for her death.

She didn't know. But who could've known?
