The Clone Wars ravages the galaxy, changing everything it touches. The Senate in shambles and the Jedi occupied means the galaxy has never been a more dangerous place. It has become a galaxy of survive or die on all levels of the social hierarchy. Amongst the calamity, the Zygerrian slave ring runs amok, casting its chaos over thousands of innocents, dragged into a world of slavery and sacrifice. Everyone is born equal. But some grow to reach further in their reservoirs of resistance. It changes them, twists them to be the headstrong who can still empathise, the battle-weary that continue to fight anyway. The instinct for survival lives and breathes stronger than ever within people, slaves, Jedi and citizens. Because survivors are not born.
