Part 1- Danny and Olivier

It's them against the world- even if they don't know it yet.

Danny’s mute. He’s anorexic, he’s rich, he wears all black, he loves his music. He's a closet gay. He’s extremely self-conscious and hides from reality.

Olivier’s deaf. He’s dirt-poor, he’s constantly hungry, he wears his clothes from the Salvation Army. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him, and he might as well wear a shirt that states that he likes guys.

But they have three things in common: their love of poetry, peppermint mochas, and most importantly, their love for each other.

No one ever said that loving your polar opposite would be easy.
