Chapter 1 - Part 1

She knows the truth. She knows I lied. The hatred she feels is for me, I can see it in her eyes.

I wasn't supposed to feel anything for her, I wasn't supposed to get involved. It happened and I need to move past it.

How I feel doesn't matter? I need to keep my emotions out of this. I have a job to do. I'm here to protect her.

All that matters is keeping her alive.
