Description
When you get sent out of the classroom in high school, it can be for various reasons. A slip of the tongue, fed up with the overly strict teacher, or you simply forgot there are different behaviors for school and home. Maybe you told the teacher to go to hell, or you threw a temper tantrum. Calvin was tired of his teacher overreacting to stupid statements, that weren't worth the attention he was giving it. Lark forgot that when you pass notes in class, Mrs. Cobalt doesn't pass up the opportunity to snatch them, and read it in front of the entire class. One made his way easily down the hall, confident in where he was going. The other peaked around corners, wondering if the next room he walked into would be the right one. Both boys soon find themselves face to face in an empty classroom, and an unlikely friendship blossoms. As their relationship progresses, feelings are repressed, and fears are conquered. Art shows are participated in, roller coasters are ridden, and fireworks are viewed. All the while these two are trying to make sense of their feelings, and balance their classes with all this chaos. With the help of passionate friends, and even a embarrassing but helpful mother, Lark and Calvin come to realize that maybe the thing they have been looking for their whole lives was each other.
