Chapter 1

Athens is under the merciless rule of the island of Crete and its cruel leader--King Minos. Periodically, he calls for shipments of children and young adults to be sent to Crete where he disposes of them at his own pleasure through sick methods of torture. When 14-year-old Xenia is chosen, she faces a dangerous journey ahead of her, and she knows it. Not one person had ever returned from Crete after being taken away, so there'e no reason for Xenia to believe she'll be the first. Unless a hidden force comes unveiled, to save them all...
