Prologue

Emma Hope is a 16 year old girl who fits perfectly into the House of Earliest, which is to say, being straight. She has a few friends, just got her license, and feels like she is stepping away from her parents for the first time.
Except she isn't stepping away.
She's thinking things she isn't supposed to as an Earliest. She is thinking like a Different. She's changing. Life being straight is not good enough for her.
But these thoughts could end up getting her Punished, an unspeakable and unknown part of the rules of the Group of Orders.
What will happen when she lays eyes on someone who may just capture her heart?
