Prologue

Kris is alone having to deal with her alcoholic father, with no one to turn to. Her past is corrupted by her father and she feels doomed to deal with another act of her dad's abuse.
James is here for a reason, something he doesn't know what yet. But when he meets Kris, something seems different.
