Something that doesnt exist fell in love?!

What would you do if you knew of every creature on earth except for one. How would you react when that one creature became your hero. What would you do if you developed feelings for said creature, especially when your whole town is terrified of it. What do either creature or human do when they find out their love is returned but that something even more sinister than what appears to be their enemy is out to get them both.
