Prologue

Melissa had a perfect childhood. Or so she thought.
Melissa's father was murdered when she was a young girl, and she'd grown up feeling like she was missing an important piece of herself. She had only her distant mother, her younger brother Benny, and best friend Liz there for her, at least until a mysterious new boy Jason showed up at her school claiming to know her.
Melissa must navigate her new life with Jason in it, among strange things that keep happening to her.
