Description
For years, Corallee 'Cora' Cleary has been an empty shell of a woman after the passing of her boyfriend, Nicky, local hero and Liverpool F.C. superfan. Nowadays, she lives her life as a bookkeeper and self-proclaimed recluse in the small town of Burford, finding comfort in the company of her partially-blind and aging dog Abbott. But when Abbott's condition begins to deteriorate, Cora takes the risk of smuggling him into a football game to see his namesake, Liverpool Captain and modern-day rake, James Abbott, before it's too late. Things doesn't go to plan, however, when her ruse fails and suddenly she and her dog become national media sensations. James has a plan to use this to salvage his ailing reputation, while Cora just wants to return to the seclusion she has so long been acquainted with. Soon, both will realise that the key to unlocking their dormant hearts, might just lie in a dog called Abbott.
