Arabelle lives in a society where girls are judged at age 16. Some are sold, some are killed, and some are placed in lifelong positions not that different from servitude. It had been that way forever, and it seemed that the tradition would never change.
Until all hell begins to break loose, and it seems that the society everyone thought was once perfect starts an abrupt downward spiral.
