Prologue

"I was wondering if you wanted to do -as friends- something after school." He leans casually on the car behind him.

The first words that come out of my mouth are, "Um, I don't know your name."

All Florence Esmond wanted at her new school was good grades, and a best friend.

Okay, maybe not all. She wanted to be popular too.

When the most popular guy at her new school asks her out, that's her chance.

Florence agrees to the rules. But rules are meant to be broken. Will she fall in or out of love with him?
