Description
Author's Note: This poem began with the simple urge to write a poem, and turning to the "Notes" section of my Facebook profile. The phrase "Write a Note" is at the top of the page, and upon glimpsing at it absently, I was just instantly struck with threads of inspiration. I began thinking about the way some people cope with trial, particularly that of ending a relationship and/or a traumatic experience or mistake. When I reference 'salvation', I don't necessarily mean religious salvation. It's more of a term geared toward fulfillment, the triumph over pain, and the willingness and ability to be happy or content with life. While I have my own reasons and perceptions for my styles and topics of poetry, I believe part of the magic of poetry is its ability to incite infinite interpretations and emotions from the readers and listeners.
