Author's Note

Bridget Black is your normal girl in the corner. Once you get to know her, though, you realize she has a dark life. No mother, father, or any other family. She lives with her step-father who beats her. These 'beatings' get worse as her life moves on. One day, her step-father forces her to move to Ireland. Why? Because his number one job is to make her life a living hell without getting caught.
Bridget believes it'll be horrible. Until she meets a cute Irish boy, Sean McLoughlin, she doesn't know what love is. Will her step-father prevent her from seeing him? How bad will the beatings get? What other things does he plan?
