Beatrice Prior was shot two years ago... Or so we thought. She wakes from a coma in the Bureau on the anniversary of her death, and in her sights is David, her killer.
Four discovers Tris is alive and sets to rescue her alone and takes her somewhere other than Chicago.
Christina and the others find them and soon set out a plan to overthrow the Bureau and keep at peace with Chicago.
Who will survive? And who will return?
