They uncover a dark mystery hidden in the foothills of Mount St. Helens, confronting its sinister inhabitants and a strange creature lurking in the woods. Their fraught relationship is tested by Sam's wayward compulsions and the lost memories of Marcia's past. Charlie Derrick, their classmate and Johan's surviving son, claims he wants the truth but protects the lurid secrets of the Derrick house. The blizzard of 1987 explodes in sex and drugs, heartbreak and betrayal, blood and gore. Those who survive will soon wish they didn't.
