Prologue (or, how the Drunk Driver thwarted his plans of survival)

"He was the prettiest Hell I have ever been in; I didn't mind burning at all."

After dying in a fatal car crash that involved him, his boyfriend, and a drunk driver, Blaze vowed to return to the land of the living to reunite with his still alive boyfriend. He would go through hell and back to see him again.

But as Blaze falls for the captain of his division and Lucifer is reluctant to grant him permission to leave, does he succeed to not succumb to the calling from the depths?
