Prologue

Everyone has a history. But Seanán doesn't. Everyone has a last name. But Seanán doesn't. Everyone has a purpose, a goal that they work towards, an ideal future mapped out in their minds. But Seanán doesn't. At least, not yet.
Seanán likes his life. He enjoys the feeling of weightlessness as he floats high above the reaches of the stone houses and huts in his hometown of Porvoo, Finland. He loves the thrill of being pulled into a memory. But, most of all, he adores the freedom of his life, the liberty to do whatever he wants to do.
All of this changes the day he walks into Ohra Parannuskeinoa (The Barley Cure) tavern and meets three very different people and one stubborn dog.
