Italy and Germany have been secretly married since right after the first world war. As the second comes around, Germany's new boss is killing everyone who is not his idea of what a person should be. Blonde hair, blue eyes, no illness, and heterosexual. Anyone who did not meet all these requirements was killed. Especially if you were a Jew. Germany hid Italy from his boss with Romano, because Germany wouldn't be able to protect his husband, or his unborn child, that will be born from war.
