Tragedy Strikes The Colony

This will either end up being a bunch of short stories on the adventures of Estelle and Reed or a story with occasional shorts. We'll see. It'll be a huge surprise. Estelle and Reed live in the waters just east of New Zealand near a very small uninhabited island. Estelle enjoys spending her free time laying in the sun at the island and listening to the lapping of the waves and singing birds. Reed keeps an eye on Estelle because she usually gets herself into trouble. Reed and Estelle grew up together in the cavers, caves, and coves were the colony lives. They explored every inch and they know the area better than any other mermaid or merman. Soon a rare sickness falls on the colony and it is up to Reed and Estelle to travel to retrieve the medication to help those who are sick and those at risk. On this journey they will face new colonies, dangerous new territory, and man made horrors.
