I watched Zayn walk away, the anger coming off of him in waves and my heart clenched with dread. Realization hit me and I held in a scream of indignation. "Oh god no. Don't even think about it y-you stupid organ," I hissed hitting myself in the chest as if that could control my rapidly beating heart. In that moment I sincerely hated my favorite writer, F. Scott Fitzgerald, for writing a stupid story, with a stupid quote that suddenly applied to me. Fitzgerald's words played in my head over and over again like a broken record. 'Her heart sank into her shoes as she realized at last how much she wanted him. No matter what his past was, No matter what he had done. Which was not to say that she would ever let him know, but only that he moved her chemically more than anyone she had ever met, that all other men seemed pale beside him.'
