This is the story of Malone Brinkley, a girl living in a world of special marks and special circumstances.

Malone wakes up on her fifteenth birthday to find that she does not have a Blaze, the mark that alerts you when you are within five feet of your soulmate. Realizing that means she will never find love, she seeks some answers. When searching, she is thrown into a secret so big it controls the entire world, and she has to decide what she is going to do.
