Helena Murphy is a teenage weirdo the outsider of all outsiders at her school it's her first year of jounior high, so her mom gave her a book. Helena misses her old school in Albuquerque NM, but living in Texas beacause her father got 'excused' from his preaching job just makes it worse. This year Helena just wants to disappear.
