alden and maine have been friends for as long as anyone can remember. their family and friends have always referred to them as a 'unit' - they don't find anything strange about this, except one day, it turns out everyone thinks they're dating. which they're not. at all. cue the two of them examining their feelings and realizing they're halfway to being the "old married couple" of the whole damn city.
