Layla King has been playing basketball ever since she could remember. At the age of six Layla's parents passed away causing her to move in with her best friend; Lucas Scott.

After moving with Karen and Lucas, Layla's love for basketball only grew, and she began to play at River Court with Lucas and the guys everyday.

When asked to join the girls basketball team her whole life changes. As the season goes on Layla becomes acquainted with Lucas' half-brother; Nathan Scott.
