This tale takes place in a world where you are born with a soul in the form of a gemstone, and your gemstone is in a certain form. A necklace if you are a girl, bracelet if you identify as all or no genders, and ring if you are a boy. Your gemstone glows after you make eye contact with your Soul Mate for the very first time. After turning 18, something special happens when soulmates touch. Your group gets an Oracle, in this case Max, who shows you the way to find your Soul Mate. Sounds perfect right? Wrong. Despite the dexterity of the glory-ridden facade that stands proudly in the face of strangers, it's weary shadow holds a feat that no unlucky soul would ever forget. For with this great gift, there comes torment, and with this great knowledge, there comes suffering.
