Beginning of Something That Might Be Good

Alar is the Killer of a murder of crows, the only one in existence. Slai is a lone bird-shifter who is Alar's wingmate. They fall for each other just as war is declared between the Avians and the shooters, people who hunt birds. Slai hides many secrets, but once the war is over, will she share them with Alar?
