The Beginning

"No please, don't do that!"
"You did it, so now I'm going to."
I watch helplessly as he slides the blade of the knife over his wrist. I bite my lip as tears roll down my cheeks. My stomach has dropped, and I feel like I'm going to puke.
"You feel that," he asks.
I nod which causes the tears on my face to fall.
"That's how I feel when I see the scars."
