People suck, plain and simple. Ashley kind of always knew this. She grew up being like the second parent in her family. Her father wasn't in the picture, wasn't even in the gallery.

Liam was always clueless about the world. He didn't exactly grow up as a "rich boy", but was close enough to it. When things go south for him, he is completely helpless and looks to Ashley for help.
