Nina and Hiccup are great friends, both finding comfort in the other when the village turns against them. One day, Nina's parents are killed in a search for the Dragon's Nest, and she shuts down. After a while, she seems to come back to life, returning to the village and reconnecting with Hiccup again. What caused Nina to perk up again after suffering a terrible loss?
