After the dark days of Hedge King in Winter, Eithne of the Gwynn remained in Droma for the merest fortnight, seeking to learn if now-King Eowain would make her a suitable husband.

Though urged by her father, his aunt, and the Drymyn Brotherhood to confirm their arranged marriage, Eithne returned, still undecided, to her home in the remote mountain village of Dolgallu.

None could force her to marry against her will, and her mind was troubled with many grave concerns.
