Prologue

Wren hated authority. Authority had taken away her family. Authority had taken away her freedom. Authority had pressed her face into the mud and said drink. She had enough of people telling her what to do, what to be and how to be so she ran. Ran front the only place she ever knew. Ran from the people that hurt her. And she never looked back. Her hatred of authority got her chained up, starved and beaten by the one that was supposed to love her, the one that was supposed to be her perfect match, supposed to be her mate. She will never let authority rule her life again, even if she had to die to do it.
